Black Knight - 44 years of Dutch heavy metal excellence
Born in the metal-rich year of 1982, Black Knight has been the thunderous heartbeat of the Dutch heavy metal scene for over four decades. Our journey began with raw passion and two demo releases in the '80s and early '90s, building toward our long-awaited and critically acclaimed debut album "Tales From the Darkside" in 1998 through Aeon Records.
Following our debut's success, Black Knight conquered stages across the Benelux, Germany, and Bulgaria, spreading our heavy metal gospel before unleashing the darker, more intense "The Beast Inside" in 2007 - cementing our reputation as Dutch metal pioneers.

By 2020, we had crafted our most powerful statement yet: "Road to Victory." Pure Steel Records, Germany's renowned metal label, was blown away by our evolution and released this comeback masterpiece to overwhelming worldwide critical acclaim and fan devotion!
The Covid pandemic delayed our triumphant album tour until 2021, when our longtime vocalist David Marcelis chose to pursue other creative endeavors. One of our final explosive performances together was immortalized on Black Knight's first official live DVD - a testament to that era's power.
At Germany's prestigious MISE Open Air festival in 2022, powerhouse vocalist Henk Overbosch stepped into the spotlight as our new frontman. The band then forged their most ambitious work: "The Tower", released in July 2025 — their heaviest, most progressive, and most emotionally resonant creation yet.

2022 also marked our monumental 40th anniversary, celebrated with the explosive live album "40 Years Live!" - capturing decades of stage mastery. In 2025, the band returned with "The Tower": a sonic monument featuring crushing riffs, soaring melodies, progressive arrangements, and the uncompromising spirit that defines classic Dutch heavy metal.
